Business Visa applicants must include a business letter of responsibility typewritten on your company letterhead from their employer is required and must be addressed to: Embassy of Pakistan. The letter must explain all of the following: o Nature of business to be performed; o Name and address of reference to be visited in Pakistan; o Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit. This letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.

 
     

Applicants must submit with their application an invitation letter from the Pakistan Company they intend to visit. Invitation should detail intended dates of arrival and departure from the country, your name and passport number, and request any special visa conditions (Multiple Entries visa) if required.

The Pakistan Embassy in Washington DC will process visas ONLY for residents of the following states: DC, MARYLAND, WEST VIRGINIA, VIRGINIA, PENNSYLVANIA, NORTH CAROLINA, SOUTH CAROLINA, GEORGIA, FLORIDA, ALABAMA, MISSISSIPPI, AND TENNESSEE. If you do not reside in one of the states listed above please call IAG for instructions and Fees.

All fees are non- refundable.

Consular Visa Processing Fee: Fees must be paid in US dollars with either a money order or cashier's check made payable to the "Embassy of Pakistan"

Regular processing time: 4-6 weeks. 

NOTE:

Approval must be received from the government in Pakistan in order for this visa to be issued. The visa will be issued only when approval is received from Pakistan.

Processing time will vary depending on when the approval is received by the consulate.

Visas are usually processed in 5 business days once the approval has been received.

  General Information  
     
 

For grant of five year multiple entry visas to the US citizens of Pakistan Origin, production of Pakistani passport or CNIC is necessary. Children born in the US, child's birth certificate is required along with father or mother Pakistani expired/valid passport or CNIC. For foreign spouse, a copy of marriage certificate along with copy of the Pakistani passport or CNIC of the husband/wife is required.

Other tourist visitors may apply for a multiple entries visa, and, at the discretion of the consulate, it may be approved or a double entries visa may be granted instead. Consular fees, once submitted, are non-refundable.

The Embassy of Pakistan advises that the Visa for employees/associates of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO); humanitarian; missionary organizations, may be delayed several weeks. An invitation from the host organization in Pakistan should also be provided. Non-Government Organizations- Need proof of registration in the US. 

Registration proof with the government of Pakistan (Ministry of Economic Affairs). A letter of recommendation/endorsement by the US Embassy in Pakistan. Name of the project in Pakistan and proof of financial responsibility. NGO visas may require clearance from the Ministry of Interior in Pakistan. 

If clearance has not been obtained in advance, the visa processing time is lengthy. The Consular Office of Pakistan does not refund visa fees if visa request is canceled or if visa is denied.

On arrival in Pakistan, immigration formalities are mandatory. (Police registration is applicable in certain cases)
Indian Passport holders are required to submit their visa request on a different application form. Please contact IAG for instructions and Fees.

Military personnel also complete the additional form giving details of their job. Please contact IAG for instructions.

If traveling to Pakistan for religious purposes, an invitation from the religious organization is required.

Applicants may be asked to appear for an interview, if necessary.

New York and Chicago jurisdiction: A letter of employment, certifying that the applicant is an employee of the company and in good standing, is required. The letter must indicate the dates for which leave was approved and the intended date of return to the company.

A vaccination for Yellow Fever is required if traveling from an endemic zone in the previous 6 days. For the CDC's recommended vaccinations and health information see http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/regionSouthAsia.aspx.

 

 

  Additional Requirements  
     
 

If you do not have any blank visa pages in your passport, you must first submit your passport to have pages added, or if your passport expires within six months, you must first renew your passport.  Please call us to assist you with obtaining or renewing your passport, or adding pages to your existing passport book.  We can secure your visa using the added pages or new passport.

Non US-passport holders, temporary foreign visitors with a valid US visa, or foreign residents with legitimate status in the US may apply for a visa to Pakistan.  Applicants in these categories must send a photocopy of their US Green Card, Work Permit, I-20 Form, valid US Visa, and valid ID along with the above requirements.  The Embassy will decide whether to issue the visa on a case by case basis. The Embassy may ask the applicant to provide additional documents.

Applicants under the age of 18 (eighteen) MUST provide the following documents in addition to the standard requirements stated above:

 

        Copy of Birth Certificate

        Signed Letters of Consent by both parents

        Photocopies of the parents' passports (bio-data page) or valid ID.
